Can you pin partitions dynamically to, let's say, keep the last 7 days all the time?

    no, this is not possible currently. However we recognize this is a great idea.
    The vertica depot is a LRU cache. so in some sense this already happens, as long as you use the data at least once. however proactively pinning the most recent data is highly desirable and we will take this as a new feature request.
