Redhat7: Vertica services: verticad and vertica_agent

Hi
Anyone know what these are..?
These services were automatically installed after I installed vertica with yum.
"yum install vertica-9.3.1-0.x86_64.RHEL6.rpm"
I have tried starting these, but these just won't start.

  • systemctl start vertica_agent
  • systemctl start verticad

Since now, I have realized that I can only start database with dbadmin user command:

  • $ admintools -t start_db -d mydb -p mydb

Anyone have noticed this..?
