.net core app to vertica connection.

Hi team, I just wanted to connect my .net core app to vertica.
Tried using ODBC drivers and it worked in Linux too..
But as ODBC is old way of doing things, is there any alternative to make in work on Linux.?

Vertica provides in addition to ADO.NET Client Driver
Also OLEDB, Visual Studio plugin, and SQL Server integration components,
In one Package which contains both 32 and 64-Bit versions,
