Hi team,
When we configure Vertica backup in config file (Vertica.ini ) with parameter
[Transmission]
encrypt = true
What kind of encryption Vertica keep at the target location. Could not get it from Documentation.

    we do backup to NFS

    Wire encrytion by vbr is accomplishe via SSL. The implementation is dependent on the target:

    • SSH when using rsync
    • HTTPS for S3, HDFS and friends
    • For NFS and other POSIX filesystems, this setting is ignored -- encryption is delegated to the operating system.

    For NFS, it'll depend on the mount options. NFS can be secured with Kerberos.
