Is there a way to have an email notification when the vertica server restarted/services?

We have a single node setup and we are struggling because during an intended restart/crash server we always late to notice.

Your help is highly appreciated

Vertica is configurable to post its events to syslog or SNMP. But I think it doesn't work in the case of the single node cluster.

Do you have a chance to use MC to monitor your database? It also doesn't work in case of a server crash if MC is running on the same server.

If you have a monitoring system like Nagios or DataDog you can check Vertica as well and send alarms out.
