By using MS VS-Code you able to query data from MY SQL Server or Mongo DB etc.

How can i connect Vertica to VS code editor to query data?

Also, you could access Vertica direct out from EXCEL by using ODBC. Otherwise, may be possible to connect VS code through ODBC

@Anna: If VS is Visual Studio, then we have a plugin for it. Did you install vertica client drivers for windows to connect to vertica? If so, you should have VS Studio plugin installed already. please find the below link for downloads and VS Studio limitations

Ensure you download the following extensions: ...
Click Install to install both the extensions.
Click SQLTools.
Click Add new connection.
Select and click PostgreSQL.
Enter the Vertica database connection details:
Click TEST CONNECTION.. .
