What is v_internal in my search path?

I see my search path but it show v_internal. I not know what this does. I find nothing in documentation on v_internal. Is it schema like v_catalog and v_monitor and if so what it for?

    v_internal is one of the vertica schemas which contains the system tables such as vs_nodes, vs_tables etc.
