Is it possible to force Vertica to rebalance storage on node
Hi,
After hardware failure, I had a full node recovery on one node. Cluster nodes have two large similarly sized volumes used exclusively for Vertica data.
Database has a dominant single table dwarfing rest of tables. With quite large ROS for yearly partition groups.
Recovery went fine, but it end up with one volume 99% disk used and one volume 77%, with 22% difference.
Database is relatively static and rarely has new data loaded or purged.
Everything works but looks ugly and causing loud complains from unix admins.
Any way to force Vertica to rebalance storage on node, to decrease difference of storage utilisation?
