Excluding a slowly performing node from cluster

Hi!
We have a k-safe 1 cluster of Vertica v12, and one of the nodes has significant I/O performance issues. The node works, but does so extremely slowly. We would like to exclude the node from the cluster, but we don't want it to participate in the re-balance to follow as it is likely to slow it down significantly. How do we make sure the node excluded is not participating in the re-balance caused by its exclusion?

    when the node is removed from cluster, it will not participate in rebalance.

    We cannot avoid rebalance as it is enterprise mode.

    Sorry, Maybe that wasn't clear. THe question wasn't how to avoid rebalance, it was how to make sure the node being excluded is not participating in the rebalance as its performance is abysmal. Seeing how the cluster's KSAFE is 1, the remaining nodes should have all they need for a rebalance.
