Give me one reason for not enabling Elastic Cluster (Enterprise mode)

I've been reading about Elastic Cluster in Vertica (Enterprise Mode), and it seems like the real choice is whether Local Segmentation is On or Off. However, I haven't found a single reason why I shouldn't enable Elastic Cluster. Why is it even optional? What are the downsides of enabling it?

    By default, Elastic cluster is enabled in Enterprise mode, and local segmentation is off. There are no reasons to change those defaults.
