How do I stream data using ODBC?

Am trying to get my data into Vertica database and am unclear on steps to do so.

    You can use batch inserts from ODBC to stream data, as with COPY statements.Or, if your data is already in a file on the client, use COPY LOCAL. COPY and COPY LOCAL are described in the HP Vertica documentation, in the SQL Reference Manual.
