Multiple databases on separate vertica nodes

Is it possible to run 2 different databases on the same Vertica cluster but on separate hosts/nodes. I can find in documentation option for host selection during database creation. But on other hand there is statement in instruction saying the existing database has to be stopped. So will it be possible to have hosts H1 nad H2 in one HPV cluster and database A on host H1 and database B on host H2? Best regards Bartek

    Yes, this can be done.

    i.e.

    Create a Vertica database on nodes 1 - M of an N-Node cluster (M < N).
     
    Create a second Vertica database on nodes M+1 - N of the cluster.

    Both these databases can be running at a same time.
