ERROR: Could not write to: Volume node0001_data] is has insufficient space.. But I have enough Free

Hi,
I Observed strange issue while running query/reports with Vertica DB.

"20150225 10:02:26.672+0000 ERROR JavaException: java.sql.SQLException: [Vertica][VJDBC](2927) ERROR: Could not write to [/home/cbi_dba/cbidb/v_cbidb_node0001_data]: Volume [/home/cbi_dba/cbidb/v_cbidb_node0001_data] is has insufficient space."

Please note, the mount point where DB data directory is mounted has good amount of free space. But it still fails with this error.

Restart of Vertica DB instance resolved this issue. But, wanted to know. Why and which case we would see this kind of issue

Take a look at table DISK_STORAGE for more info about space.  Recommend at least 40% free disk space on every node.
