I need to upgrade community edition from 6.1 to 7.1. This requires an upgrade from 6.1 to 7.0.

Where can I download community edition 7.0?

 

Also, is enterprise edition the same as community edition, except for license?

    You can go ahead & download the 7.0 rpm also from the similar my vertica portal from where you have got all other rpm's

     

    Also you are correct that the only difference between community & enterprise edition is "License key".

     

    Without a license key your database will run as a community edition with limited capabilites.
