Facebook connector — Vertica Forum

I recently used social-media-connector to grab data from twitter into Vertica. I'm wondering if is there a similar connector to get data from facebook.
If there is not, I would like to know what are the options to get this data, maybe I could configure flume in a different way to connect directly to Vertica or do I need to used Hadoop?
What would be the best approach?

    Hi Flavio,

    Thanks for your interest.  

    There is not currently a facebook connector.  There might be others who can comment on how to connect to FB to collect posts from there...

    Are you using the Social Media Connector with Pulse?  Can you share your use cases?

    Is there any update on this?
    I've a similar requirement for fetching Facebook and LinkedIn feeds into Vertica.
