How to implement purge policy settings ?

hello,
I want to set configuration parameters of purge policy, mainly I want to tune the settings of HistoryRetentionTime, HistoryRetentionEpochs.I need to purge the deleted data (for fast updates and deletes) daily then what I have to do and which parameters I have to change ??
