Resident Size and Virtual Size in dc_process system table

Hi ,Could you please explain the Resident Size and Virtual size columns in dc_process_info table .The column value in the table,is it related to system memory or vertica memory.I can see ver time both the memory getting higher .Would be really helpful if any doc related to this table

    dc_process_info contains information about vertica process memory, handles and system limits.
    If the resident_size_min_value is growing gradually over time , please check below forum post as it may be helpful.
